Least Favourite supermodel
Supermodel favourites see foods as they really are . They know you can’t be slim and eat chocolate brownies all the time but you can have them as treats. It’s up to you to decide whether you’re willing to sacrifice being energetic, happy, self – confident slim and more attractive for the constant but fleeting momentary taste of something sweet in the Supermodel favourites. It’s all about thinking ‘slim’, when eating food is just another part of your life, like work, friends and shopping, rather than thinking ‘fat’, which is when you eat diet products, are always on a diet and think about food constantly.
Say Cheese Photographer and supermodel Helena Christensen’s favorite shop in the world is a cheese store in Paris. She loves the stuff. When you eat cheese in moderation ( a healthy portion size is 25 g (1oz) or a matchbox – sized chunk) it provides a boost of essential nutrients including protein, Vitamin D and zinc as well as calcium, which are essential for bones, Check out the nutritional values of the ones you enjoy.
BRIE Lower levels of fat than Cheddar of Stilton and a good quantity of calcium. CAMEMBERT A third less fat and a quarter fever calories than hard cheeses, High in folic acid, although avoid if pregnant, as it’s mould –repined, like Brie. COTTAGE CHEESE The only truly low – fat cheese, but it also has a low calcium content, which reduces its nutritional rating compared to other cheeses. CHEDDAR One of the highest fat cheeses, but a good source of calcium and zinc. CREAM CHEESE The unhealthiest cheese, as it’s close to 50 percent pure fat and has only a fraction of the calcium content of many hard cheeses. EDAM Contains a medium amount of fat, is rich in calcium, but high in salt. EMMENTHAL / CRUYERE Very high protein, calcium and zinc content ( essential for healthy skin, reproduction and immune system ) though a higher fat ratio than edam. FETA Made with sheeps milk, it has a moderate amount of calcium and fewer calories than half – fat Cheddar. A better source of vitamin D than cow’s milk cheese, but it is also the saltiest. GOAT’S CHEESE Low in calories and richer in vitamin D ( an important bone- strengthener ) compared with cow’s milk cheeses, although not a great source of calcium or zinc. HALF – FAT CHEDDAR Higher in protein, calcium and zinc than normal Cheddar, but a bit lower in vitamins A and D PROCESSED CHEESE SLICES Rich in calcium, lower in saturated fats than unprocessed cheese. Gets its ‘plastic appeal’ from added milk proteins, modified starch. Preservatives and emulsifiers. MOZZARELLA A medium - fat cheese which can be disproportionately high in unhealthy saturates. Good calcium content. PARMESAN Extremely high in calcium. This is the best cheese for zinc but it is highin salt. RICOTTA Fairly low t and salt and contains low to medium amounts of calcium. STILTON Similar to Cheddar in fat and calories, but has a much lower calcium content. It is high in folic acid, like all blue –veined cheese, but not suitable for pregnant woman as it carries a listeria warning because of the mould.
