Baked French Toast-French Toast Recipe- Recipe for French Toast - Makes an excellent Breakfast recipe

Indian breakfast recipes are plenty. Breakfast is the first meal of the day, preceding lunch or dinner and is typically eaten in the morning. Many nutritionists consider breakfast a very important meal, since it provides vital nourishment and energy for starting the day.

Indian breakfast dishes varies widely between south and north:

In South India, the most popular breakfast is an assortment with several possible main dishes, such as idli, Pongal, vada, dosa and chapati.

 
 

These are most often served with hot sambar and at least one kind of chutney (usually coconut chutney).

Breakfast is usually followed by a cup of tea or coffee, both made with milk and sugar.

The usual North Indian breakfast consists of paratha breads with fresh butter, cooked spicy vegetables especially aloo sabji (Potato).

Popular accompaniments include sweets like jelabi, halwa, and sweetened milk. In urban areas, omlettes and simple butter sandwiches are becoming a popular breakfast food.

5 eggs, 3 tbsp milk.
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, salt and
freshly ground pepper to taste.
50 gm cornflakes, crushed.
4 slices bread.
4 small tomatoes, sliced.

Poach 4 eggs in water. Keep aside.

Beat the remaining egg with the milk,
Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.
Place crushed cornflakes on a plate.

 

Remove the crusts from the breads and cut each slice in half.
Dip the bread into the egg mixture and then into
the crumbs, coating evenly.
Place the bread in an ovenproof dish and arrange the
tomato slices on top.
Bake in preheated 190°C/380°F oven for 15 minutes.
Top each slice of bread with a
Poached egg and serve while hot.
