Flower Arranging - An arrangement with preserved flowers
Preserved flowers is an excellent object to make
homemade greeting cards, bookmarks, prints, labels, or in any other craft
project to create a unique look. You can turn pressed flowers and leaves
into simple, attractive gifts or creative decorations for your home. The
following details will make you understand this delighting concept and ways
to follow-
Fern Candles
Materials
- 1. Three pillar candles of various sizes
- 2. Assorted pressed and preserved ferns, such as rabbit's foot ferns
- 3. All-purpose craft glue
Technique
Remove the pressed ferns from their backing
paper. Choose sizes that will complement the style of each candle. Using a
small paintbrush, apply a very thin amount of all-purpose craft glue to the
back of each fern (being careful not to tear the fern) and affix the ferns
to the side of the candles. Do not apply too much glue to the backs of the
ferns. All ends of the ferns should be held down with glue in order to
properly adhere to the candle. If required, apply a dot of glue over the top
of the fern ends once the fronds are glued to the candle. Allow the glue to
dry completely before using.

Fill platter with an inch of water and set aside. Weave a loose wreath with
pussy willow, using metal wreath as a base to hold stems together. Attach
using floral wire. Add other materials, starting with tulips, all facing

should be evenly spaced. Place wreath on platter, making sure that each stem
touches water.
Make at home bouquets - Pillars of Spring
Ingredients - Pillars of Spring
- A shallow dish, 20 inches in diameter, that can hold at least 1 inch

Wreath ring should be 2 inches smaller than the diameter of the dish.

Romantic Red Arrangement
Romantic red arrangement - You'll need a clear vase, budding red flowers
and a bag of cranberries. Empty the bag of cranberries into the bottom of
the vase and fill the vase two-thirds full with tepid water. Cut the stems
of the flowers (that you selected) diagonally with sharp scissors or a
pruner. Arrange the flowers in the vase. Placing two or three of Romantic
red arrangements on a mantel or at a dinner party will be extremely pleasing.
Another option for this arrangement is to use cut berry stems from your
garden in place of the red flowers.
Easy Harvest Arrangement
Easy Harvest arrangement - Choose a light-colored vase or container that
will not compete against the vibrancy of Easy Harvest arrangement. For the base,
select long-lasting varieties of flowers or berried shrubs that have an
autumn feel. In this arrangement, yo can choose Hypericum, Bupleurum and
some orange straw flowers. Because this centerpiece is supposed to have a
natural harvest look. Add perennial grasses, branches or dried pods from
your garden. Arrange mini gourds in a haphazard fashion around the base of
the vase for a more dramatic effect. Pinecones and colorful leaves can be
used just as effectively as the gourds.
Quick Veggie Centerpiece
This is such an easy arrangement and a great
project to do with kids. Try to use a pedestal cake platter to give this
centerpiece the height it deserves. This centerpiece is essentially just a
mix of vegetables and the key to making it look controlled is to use enough
of one vegetable as a base. (The base of my arrangement was romaine
lettuce.) You should have enough of this vegetable to cover the complete
diameter of the platter. Besides the veggies, the only other item you'll
need is toothpicks.
