Indian Recipes and Cuisine- Recipe from India- Best Indian Recipes Polynesian Rice

Calories – 2977 Serves –10

Ingredients:

Rice – 500 gms
Coriander leaves – 1 bunch
Channa dal – 125 gms

 
 

Mustard – 1 tsp
Urad dal – 100 gms
Turmeric – a pinch
Oil – 15 gms
Curds – 500 gms
Ginger – a little
Salt – to taste

Besan Dhokla Recipe Method :

1. Soak rice and dals separately for 5 - 6 hours. Then grind into a paste.
2. Mix curds and set aside for 5 – 6 hours.
3. Heat oil, add mustard and turmeric. Mix all the ingredients together and pour the mixture onto a greased tray. Steam it like idli for 15-20 minutes.
4. Cut into desired shape. Serve with chutney.

Recipe from India

200 gm boneless chicken nuggets.
3 tbsp light soyabean sauce.
½ cup pineapple juice.
1tbsp vinegar.
½ tsp salt. ½ tsp pepper.
¼ tsp powdered ginger.
¾ cup diced capsicum.
1 tbsp cornflour mixed with 2 tbsp water.
1 cup diced pineapple.
3 cups cooked rice.

 

To garnish : peanuts and tomato slices. Mix chicken nuggets, soyapean sauce, pineapple juice, Vinegar, salt, pepper and ginger in a saucepan.v Cook over low heat for 15-20 minutes orv Until the chicken is tender. Once the chicken is done, add the capsicum and cook for 7 Minutes. Add the cornflour mixture and stir constantly till thick. Stir in the pineapple and cooked rice. Mix well. Serve hot. Variation : A handful of small prawns can be added or use fish Nuggets instead of chicken or omit the chicken altogether and use Paneer for a vegetarian version.
