When hunger pangs strike in between meals and You want just a bite to eat, here’s an alternative to a Bag of chips or a chocolate bar

4 muffins.
1 red apple.
1 celery stalk
1 tbsp chopped walnut.

 
 

Seasoned paneer:

1 It milk.
½ cup curd.
1 clove of garlic.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Herbs of your choice.
Make seasoned paneer.
Put the milk to boil. Add curd to it the milk will split. Tie in a muslin cloth and hang for half an hour to let part of the whey drain.
Put the paneer in a blender and process with garlic till smooth.
Add herbs, salt and pepper.
Cut the apple in small cubes, but do not peel. Chop celery.
Spilt open the muffin and toast both sides till golden.
Mix the paneer in a blender and process with garlic till smooth.

Toasted muffin. Sprinkle with walnuts and serve at once. Spiced Apple Muffins

2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup shredded apple
2/3 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
2 eggs, beaten
2/3 cup milk
1/4 cup melted butter
1 cup whole bran flakes or whole wheat cereal

 

Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir in shredded apple, brown sugar, and nuts. In another bowl, combine eggs, milk, and butter; add to first mixture all at once, stirring just to blend ingredients. Fold in the cereal flakes. Fill greased muffin cups about 2/3 full. Bake at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes.
Makes 12 apple spice muffins.
