Eye care treatments | Effect of a Wider Eye
Fats Composition
Eye care treatments and the approach you have towards doing your eyes depends on the effect you desire. If you just want to ‘finish them off’, you can get away with a soft base of a light peach all over the eye with a soft contour shade, for example cocoa or grey and some mascara. But I fine missing out on eyeliner disappointing as the older eye will look more defined and special with that extra definition. As with everything so far, the best effects will result from using a few key tools. As crepey skin needs shadow to be places and softly blended, it is important to use good brushes instead of your fingers Foam applicators or cotton buds. ‘Place’ the shadow on to the eye without rubbing. Once there, the shadow can be merged together. Your eye shadow will be less likely to ;’crease’ or ‘bleed ‘ if it is applied on to dry skin or over an eye base. Use upward strokes and pressing motions to help ‘lift’ the eye. A lighter colour on the inner eye, which should have a light base of concealer, and dot on the outer eye will create the effect of a wider eye. Don’t stretch the skin when you are applying shadow as when the skin folds back into its normal position. The shadow as when the skin folds back into its normal position the shadow As when the skin folds back into normal position the shadow won’t be where you want it. Leave the skin where it is and dab on your colours where you want them then blend softly together, using upward strokes. Effect of a wider eye - Eye care treatments and avoid using eyeliner all around the eye as it will make it look smaller. You can use it only along the top lid, or a good approach is to line the outer half or third of the eye only. Always ‘set’ the eyeliner with shadow applied using a small, stubby brush for best effect. Kohl pencils are good as you don’t want a harsh line.
If you find a particular eye pencil too hard to apply, warm or soften it up with a few strokes on to the back of the hand. Liquid liners can get wedged into folds and never look soft. The softest option on the skin is to paint on a gentle line using a water soluble eye shadow and brush. The key is not to see a definitive line, only to gain more depth and definition to the eyes. Be adventurous in using different coloured shadows over your basic eye pencils to create interesting effects. Eyeliner colours are best if mid – tone to deep although black is too dark. Light or bright liners look silly. Eye make up tips and the brows shouldn’t forgotten as they frame the eyes. Often they will thin or lighten with age so experiment with soft grey, taupe and cocoa colours for filling in. If you use a pencil, sharpen the tip and use short strokes rather than drawing a long line (very Joan Crawford!). Shadow can be softer and equally effective for filling in bald patches. Brush the brows outward and upward and consider using a tiny bit of gel to secure the most recalcitrant hairs into place. Eye make up tips and mascara is the last, final step to beautiful eyes. Better to apply a few, thin coats rather than one thick one. The goal is thicker lashes not gloppy ones. Black mascara will be fine on women with deep colouring but softer shades of navy, brown, grey or plum can be more effective on women with lighter colouring. Consider curling the lashes before applying mascara to open up and lift the eyes. Another trick is to apply mascara only to the outer half or third of the lashes to ‘widen’ the eyes in the eye make up tips.
